Post launch analysis

The game Bullet heck was originally just for learning and was going to be made for blind people specifically or the visually impaired.

(I'm visually impaired and it is only getting worse so i thought i could make a game to be good at before i went blind but i did not really work out that way).

it was and is a 1v1 shooting game with power ups and an attempt on interesting levels.

over time i did a great job adding random features i thought would be cool on other games but they never felt super smooth or finished. Since it was a learning experience the code early on was bad and it shows later on. it made it nearly impossible to add more than two players. the learner code was probably my biggest detriment other than picking a bad genre for an itch game.

In the end I think what needed to be improved was my advertising, how clear the game was, UI, and even picking a genre people want.

nobody wants a local 1v1 shooting game with lackluster art and not clear directions.

What I did right was features, fun maps, challenge-based customization, and the level editor is cool. some of the small audio and visual detail is really nice to like when bullets hit walls they pop and make a noise.
